when I received the email inquiry from my lovely client about getting a a huge garlic braid as her FIRST tattoo I was so ecstatic!! she went BIG. I love doing unique flora and fauna themes and would be more than happy to do more pieces like this. 💚

Figuring out snake scales is such a tedious process, but I find it oddly quite relaxing. A little frustrating, but nonetheless quite meditative 🐍 I’d love to do more 🖤 I used a previous snake I’d done to reference the scale flow, which is so helpful for me
side note, it is crazy to see a process that took several hours sped up into something that’s less than a minute long

Sometimes I get frustrated with where I’m at and always feel like I need to do and be better. And struggle with the whole not feeling good enough mentality. But then I think back to how far I’ve come along and remind myself that I’m doing pretty dang good!! I’ll only get better with time and the journey is rad. I feel grateful for the opportunity to grow. ⭐️🥹💖

a snake for Gia 🖤
when I first tried to understand snakes during my apprenticeship, it was supposed to be an easy design I was gonna knock out. And then I started to draw the scales and realized why a lot of tattooers avoid them. I literally drew the same snake like 8 times. And got close but eventually just put the drawing away because I was frustrated lol. Holy shit they are so tedious!!! Two years later and I can see the progress I’ve made understanding them. I’m excited to think about what my snehks will look like a couple months from now. My bbs are only gonna get cooler and better. I’m so in love with the process of drawing them and understanding their form.
